All That Jazz!
Hands down, the BEST Broadway-type musical made into a film.
Roy Scheider gives the performance of his lifetime as an aging Bob Fosse,
(called "Joe Gideon" in the film) the legendary choreographer, dancer and lover of women.
Besides the Sound of Music and Rock Operas, I have never much cared for the
genre. But this is hip, funny, not dated--plays as well today as when
released. Incredible talent--Ben Vereen sings and dances! The sexy
and gorgeous Jessica Lange plays the Angel Of Death--really!
A fantastic film with fantastic music by George Benson and others
of his caliber. I give it my highest rating--Five Stars! Rent It!
Own it! Be it!

Kurosawa's masterpiece! I can so relate to the protagonist right now.
Also, the universe appropriately had Dr Francis Lu (a former colleague at SF General Hospital)
Show this film to our residency education seminar @ exactly the right
moment--my father had just been diagnosed with fatal cancer, that was in
July of 1994. He died in Sept of that year. Francis putting that film on
for our discussion---it was like it was meant for ME PERSONALLY. I thank him
